Carneal hearing will look at guilty plea appeal:

Heath High School gunman Michael Carneal will receive a hearing to see if he was mentally competent to see if his guilty plea was valid.

If you’ll recall, in 1997, Carneal shot and killed 3 students at Heath High School in Paducah, Kentucky. More recently, he’s been claiming that he heard voices so he can try to get out of his 25-to-life sentence.

This request was previously denied.

Again, Carneal’s victims, who didn’t even know him, can’t appeal their death sentences.
