Man charged after MySpace hookup with girl, 12:

19-year-old Matthew Bergeron of Manchester, New Hampshire was arrested for sexual assault after meeting up with a 12-year-old girl on MySpace.

Matthew Bergeron, 19, was arrested Saturday on three counts of aggravated felonious sexual assault, five counts of felonious sexual assault, one count of indecent exposure and one count of use of computers prohibited, police said.

Here’s the thing. I found two MySpaces for a Matthew Bergeron of Manchester. They’re definitely two different people. Rather than posting both and risk branding an innocent man as a pedophile I decide not to post either of them until someone can send me some confirmation.

    Okay. Mr. Whoever you are. My name is Josh. This man, Matt, you talk about is my fucking cousin. It was not fully his fault as to this incident. She told him she was much older, therefore, that is why it occurred. Our family is already trying reallly hard to get over this incident, so I would highly appreciate you not posting this bullshit on here. It is just plain out fucked. Leave it to the media to worry about shit like this.

    Well Josh..I know Matt, I grew up with him…and I always knew hed molest a little girl someday. Even if this girl said she was older then she was, who the FUCK, couldnt tellshe was anywhere near 11…whats matt, 19 now? even if she said she was 15, or 16…thats still fucked up, and illegal anyway..so you need to shut the fuck up Josh, hes guilty, a pervert, and a douche bag that should burn in hell…Good day to you, fuck muscle.

    There are 3 sides to every story – his-hers and the truth. This girl is far from innocent and even after Matt was arrested in December 2007 she was still active on MY SPACE and she is far from a child. Who sneeks out at 1 AM and you know she has done this in the past with other boys and she still is. Why do the boys take all the punishment and the girl still lives life like nothing ever happened, the justic system is not fair and I do not believe in it any more. If anyone really knows MAtt they know the the truth. HE was stupid and beleived this girl was 17 . She lied and got away with everything and he is paying a life long penalty

    Trench, It sure does. Matt is never going to be the same and he is not a molester. This was a very poor judgement and he will pay for the rest of his life for it. Anyone that really knows Matt knows that he accepts full responsibility for his actions. He, his family are Ruined emotionally and financially for life. Constantly being hasseled and emotionally hurt. This will never go away. But this “girl” will lead a normal life like nothing ever happened.

    Okay i do not know who is who or who did what, but you should check your facts, because that is MY email address you posted, and i dont do that shit. One of my friends emailed me and said he found my email address on here. People, i love freedom of speech and press as much as the next person but check your facts before posting things like that because that can ruin a innocent persons life. I dont think this guy should burn in hell but i think he should stay in jail for awhile. Why? Simple. Jail is ALOT worse than burning in hell. Ask any cop what jail does to a child molester… Especially one who is known to be one to his cellmates.

    this so happens to be my email address and Id name(i did not say what server is used the email address but it is obviously different from yours) and I have had it for 3 years and do not want to get into a pissing contest with you. I do know no two mail addresses can be the same unless the server is different keep that in mind and tell your Friend its not you just someone who happens to the same user name

    The facts are:
    1. He is an adult
    2. She is a child
    3. He had sexual contact of some sort with her

    Conclusion:
    He is indeed a child molester. Whether knowingly or unknowingly, he molested this child. Whether she lied or not has no bearing on the fact that she was still a child. She may be a liar as well, but that does not change her legal status as a minor. Maybe next time he goes looking for sex on the internet, he will ask for ID before he inserts his dick.

    Contrary to your comments, this was a good place for me to write my comments. In addition, I am not a defender of the fifth. You do not have a clue who I am and you will not. However, you may want to double check what you write too your grammer is incorrect in several areas. What the world needs is more PERFECT people like you.

    Grammar is spelled with two “a’s”, not an “a” and an “e”. And if you can’t see my comments, how can you determine that my grammar is incorrect? Maybe the person helping you doesn’t know how to read??? I am an English professor, so if you can point out any errors, I would welcome the critique. I am always happy to improve my writing abilities.

    I am not perfect, either. I’m just tired of listening to people defend child molesters. As I said, the girl may have lied to him, but that does not absolve him. He should have made certain of her age. Ignorance of the law is no excuse or in this case, ignorance of her age is no excuse.

    And I don’t CARE who you are. That’s the beauty of this site – complete anonymity. May God bless you, too.

    I was raped by my real father at 15 years old… I may not be afraid to talk about it but Im also scared to re-live the situation I’m 21 now and still don’t want to take care of the issue… its bad enough he has to live with raping his daughter. And at 15 I wasn’t strong enough to even tell anyone and I don’t care what anyone thinks of me when I say this but seriously what 11 year old is strong enough to actually accuse someone that really raped them…. they would get an advocate.. so I think its a false accusation against Matt… and I’m sorry you had to go through this..
