Rally held for Thomas White; continuance allowed:

This is, in my opinion, a very biased but well-written article about the rally that was held for Thomas White yesterday.

Again, white is the teen gunman who fired a MAC-90 round into his school’s ceiling then pointed the gun at his principal while pulling the trigger after the gun jammed.

First off let me say that people who drag their kids to protests or rallies, no matter what the protest/rally is about, are asshats. It makes you look like you’re exploiting your kids. Not only that but you never know when a protester is going to clash with police putting your kids in danger.

But getting back to the matter at hand, Thomas White’s mother Norma was at the rally…

Norma White, pictured, who stood nearby often close to tears, expressed remorse that she didn’t do more to protect her child whom she said came home with a “swollen hand” and other signs of school abuse. Subsequently, she had discovered, she said, that a teacher’s remedy for handling bullies was to “turn and walk away.”

She also was sorry that she was not more outspoken earlier, but that she was following the advice of her son’s former attorney Chuck Lonardo who said to “keep quiet.” “I decided that just wasn’t working,” she said. She hopes that speaking out will get more community support.

A swollen hand? That’s it? So he brought a gun to school over a swollen hand? His generation really does have its fair share of over-sensitive marshmallows. And in my opinion, I don’t think that she decided it was time to talk. I get the feeling that certain advocacy groups whispered in her ear. That’s not an allegation. It’s just a feeling I have. If Norma White wanted to do more maybe she should have gotten rid of the illegally owned guns in her house.

The hearing to see if Thomas White will be sent back to juvenile court has been delayed two weeks.

While Judge Mouton expressed concern over delaying the case in order, as requested by the defense, to present further testimony from three unnamed witnesses, he granted a two-week continuance in support of Thomas White’s rights. His decision was made against the strong objection of the APA. In setting the criminal motion hearing for Friday, July 20 at 1:30 p.m., Moulton was offering the defense another opportunity to make their case.

The people at the rally shouldn’t delude themselves though. I’m sure that the rally had nothing to do with the judge’s decisions to allow a continuance.

  1. Once again no one ever saw him pull the trigger after the gun jammed, stop making up things Trench. His arm shaked, just like a scared kids arm probably would generally shake (especcially when holding a quite heavy gun). Please just report the news, not opinions that can’t be supported with one bit of evidence.

  2. His Mom is a piece of work. Is she such poor white trash she can’t mortgage a home to afford a decent lawyer for her precious son? Is she so alienated and estranged from family on both sides that they can’t pitch in and help with the defense?

These two public defenders sound like Laurel and Hardy, arguing over saving paper when they should be making proper motions to have the case pushed to a juvie court.

The fact of the matter is that little Tommy White is a rotten kid with a bad temper. His own freaking family wants nothing to do with him or they would have chipped into the defense fund to get a good lawyer. They know he did it, so they are withholding funds. His Mom and Dad are drug-dealing trash too who are too pathetic to pull themselves together to save their boy.

  3. Just curious, where is a former stay at home mom with 3 kids at home supposed to get money for a good lawyer (they are not exactally cheap, not for this type of case anyway). If his dad was still free sure they could get funds but that doesn’t seem too likely to happen. If you are going to attack them, attack them for that, not for not caring about Thomas now. Lawyers aren’t cheap, and a stay at home mom who rejoins the workforce doesn’t exactally make the most money.

  4. Why don’t you and your “advocacy” friends chip in and get her one?

  5. Bryan, you always have an excuse for someone. Injustices lurk in every corner of your pathetic pee-smelling world.

A good lawyer in her town is only 150 bucks per hour. She could sell items from her home, mortgage her house, or go to relatives for cash. But you see, and you missed this point last time, Bryan- her family- grandparents, parents, siblings on both hers and the father’s side of the family- dont care about the boy or know he’s guilty. Otherwise, they would contribute to a defense fund.

But because *this mom is a bad mom* these options are not open to her. She lived with a loser of a man who dealt drugs and smuggled weapons. That makes her an unfit mother.

The problem is that Ender’s “injustices” are ALWAYS occurring to the perps of crimes and NEVER to the innocent victims. We’ve got to consider the criminals first…to hell with everyone else.

  7. Nah, I just prefer saving them before there dead, makes more sense that way. Your style is vengence for the dead. My style is look at how it came for them to be killed.

  8. Okay fine, everyone in America has a perfect life with 2 story white house and every single mother can raise 3 kids on her own without any troubles and… oh fuck this bullshit… she is having a hard time getting the neccessaties $150 dollars an hour of disposable money probably isn’t avaible to her.

Also remember right after the inital incident she went out and got a good lawyer that did nothing (or did you not already know that?) Why didn’t she give up on him before throwing away all that money? Maybe you should have all the facts before you say something like that.

  9. Ummmm the fact that I am a college student with little to no resources (even here at camp working insane hours I make extremely little money, $1500 for the entire summer) might have something to do with it.
