Woodstock couple plead not guilty to charges:

Timothy and Kimberly Smith of Woodstock, Illinois, have pleaded not guilty to the charges against them, which led to the shooting death of 48-year-old Kurt Milliman.

If you’ll recall, Mr. Milliman allegedly responded to a craigslist ad where Timothy Smith was advertising the prostitution services of his wife. Sometime during the night, police say that Timothy Smith shot and killed Mr. Milliman, and the couple allegedly concocted a burglary/self-defense explanation for the killing.

Timothy Smith is charged with first-degree murder, pandering, obstructing justice, and pimping. He’s looking at 45 to life. His wife has been charged with obstructing justice, disorderly conduct, and prostitution.

Smith, the husband, is said to have wept at his plea hearing. Aw, poor baby. You at least still have your life; Kurt Milliman does not.
