In 2013, the skeletal remains of Erica Parsons were found buried in South Carolina. She had been reported missing by her brother in 2013 and was said to have been last seen in 2011. Erica was the adoptive daughter of Sandy and Casey Parsons of Rowan County, North Carolina. Casey Parsons was convicted of murder in 2016 and sentenced to life in prison. Sandy Parsons was convicted of second-degree murder in 2017 and was sentenced to life. More recently, Sandy Parsons received additional prison time for fraudulently collecting Erica’s disability and Social Security checks after she had already killed her.

Now Sandy Parsons has pleaded guilty to 14 counts of misdemeanor child abuse. This is related to the abuse she inflicted on the Parsons’ other children. She was sentenced to 180 days in jail but was given credit for time served. There is not much else to add here since this monster is already serving a life sentence.
