Cleveland: Classes Cancelled after Violent School Shooting:

By now I’m sure you’ve heard about the shooting at SuccessTech Academy in Cleveland, Ohio. What is known so far is that a 14-year-old gunman armed with two handguns shot 5 people at the school. Two were faculty and three were students.

According to Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson the victims are as follows:

1. A 14-year-old female sustained an injury to the knee.

2. A 14-year-old male sustained a gun shot wound to the side and was transported to Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital

3. A 17-year-old male sustained a gun shot wound to the elbow and was transported to Metro Health Hospital.

4. A 42-year-old male sustained a gun shot wound to the chest and was transported to Metro Health Hospital.

5. A 57-year-old male sustained a gun shot wound to the back and was also transported to Metro Health Hospital.

Luckily all the victims are expected to recover. The gunman, not so much. Multiple news outlets are reporting that the gunman took the cowards way out by taking his own life. I’ve seen reports that the gunman was suspended earlier in the week for fighting.

The description of the shooter is taken right out of the school shooters handbook…

We are also getting new information on the shooter – he is a white male described as goth and was wearing a Marilyn Manson t-shirt with black fingernails.

The school itself is described as a non-traditional school with a very stringent admissions process.

Even though it’s been a few hours since the shooting any of this information may change as more details become available.

  1. It was a vocational/technical school judging by what I saw on its website. In my day, that’s where all of the dropouts, burners and thugs were shunted to keep them away from the academics. Its where people learned to dig ditches and pour concrete, not that there’s anything wrong with that.

Ironic that such a failure went to a school call “successtech.”

  2. thats pretty funny

  3. This is quite possibly the least intelligent article I have read on this event. “Taken right out of the school shooters handbook” reveals that whomever wrote this article obviously has no idea what would drive someone to commit such an act such as mental health issues, bad influence from society (for god’s sake people glorify soldiers who invade another country and kill hundreds of innocent people in bombing raids) and family problems. Personally I listen to Marilyn Manson and anyone who listens to the lyrics can tell that many of his songs are about overcoming difficult times.
So I highly suggest you think what you are saying before you write an article that purely highlights your ignorance.

  4. Victoria you MUST be new here. The only one showing ignorance is YOU to criticize the poster.

And you obviously hate America too since you want to drag the Iraq war into it. You think the war in Iraq may have served as a motivation for the school shooting?

You don’t wet the bed too do you?

  5. Great … just what we needed, another bleeding heart douchebag.

  6. I never blamed it on Marilyn Manson or the goth lifestyle or whatever. I’ve been writing about these events for the past 7 years. My point that you obviously missed is that he couldn’t have been a more stereotypical school shooter.

The fact that you listen to Marilyn Manson just shows you have bad taste in music.

  7. god, I hope so 😛
