Sixth-grade girl leaves 3 wounded in Idaho school shooting

On Friday, a sixth-grade girl opened fire at Rigby Middle School in Rigby, Idaho, wounding two students and one adult school staffer. The girl was quickly subdued by a teacher. The shooter then allegedly pulled out a knife, but was disarmed by the teacher. The three victims are expected to survive.

The girl was taken into custody and will be charged as a juvenile. According to the Jefferson County Sheriff, there is no known motive at this time.

Kudos to the teacher who subdued the shooter. That was a very brave act.

As a sidebar, Rigby, Idaho is the hometown of Philo T. Farnsworth, the inventor of television.
